From the early days of the 3.75 km (2.3 mile) Schöllenenbahn, electric HGe 2/2 locomotives, delivered in 1916, hauled the trains. After the Schöllenenbahn was absorbed by the Furka-Oberalp-Bahn, these old-fashioned locos were painted and lettered for the FO. Unfortunately, none of these interesting rack locomotives have been preserved. Loco HGe 2/2 24 was scrapped in 1980. However, the loco lives on with this LGB model. With an onboard decoder and directional lighting, it is available to haul regional trains. The LGB program also includes a matching passenger car (36640). And thanks to the LGB rack system (10210, 10220), you can climb steep mountains in a prototypical manner.
